Fine Print for the Contest
The Moon Pie eating contest, presented by Uncertain Lodge and Inn, is scheduled to take place starting at 12:25pm on October 10th at the 2026 Uncertain Bigfoot Bash located at Johnson’s Ranch Marina!
First, we will hold the adult bracket followed by the children’s (7-16 years old). We have room for a MAXIMUM of 15 contestants for each contest. Sign up will be at the event, and each contestant is REQUIRED to sign a liability waiver for entry. In the case of a child contestant, a parent or legal guardian must sign the waiver along with the child. An example of the waiver is shown below:
Competition Rules
Contestants will be given five (5) minutes to eat as many mini-Moon Pies as they can. Every contestant will receive an RC Cola (can) and a plate filled with twenty-five (25) mini-Moon Pies, of an assorted variety, still wrapped, that they will eat as quickly as possible.
Contestants are allowed to eat the Moon Pies in any order they choose, however, they can only unwrap one at a time. Only after eating the Moon Pie in play can the next one be unwrapped.
Contestants must drop anything in their hands at the 5 minute mark. If a Moon Pie is not completely ate, or swallowed, it will not go towards the amount they have ate.
In the case of a tie, the contestants in question will be sat back down and given another plate of 20 mini-Moon Pies. They will then be given another five (5) minutes to see who can eat the most. The same rules above apply to this tie breaker.
In the case of the tie breaker ending up in another stalemate. Both contestants will be given an RC Cola (bottle). Each contestant will be timed in how fast they can chug the soda. The contestant with the fastest time will be declared the winner.
