How did we get here?
The Uncertain Bigfoot Bash is an annual block party style event brought together by Jim and Angie Hall back in 2022. Originally set the day after the Texas Bigfoot Conference held in the neighboring town of Jefferson, the Bash was the last hurrah for the people in the Bigfoot community calling for the end of the years normally scheduled conferences. Getting people out of the city and down to Uncertain within the vortex that is Caddo Lake was the first step. Giving everyone a chance to relax and loosen up before heading back home, no lectures or presentations just good vibes and friends. However, it soon became something a little bit bigger than just a hang-out as the local community was drawn into the scene. During the third annual event Angie decided it was time to pass the reins over too Logan Craft after Jimmy had a few health scares at the time. It turns out planning parties can be a lot of work! However, while still involved in the planning and execution of the Uncertain Bigfoot Bash, the relaxed approach allows the Hall’s time to actually enjoy the spectacle they created. From there the Bash continued evolving into the block party style event it is now; held on the second Saturday of October it continues to grow and bring together not only people from the bigfoot community but Caddo Lake communities as a whole!

The Fouke Monster
Every great party needs a guest of honor, and the Uncertain Bigfoot Bash is no exception. However, we didn’t just find someone off the street, we got The Fouke Monster himself Mr. Keith Crabtree! Following after the Boggy Creek Monster itself, Keith followed the creeks and made his home right here on the mysterious Caddo Lake. You may have heard about the 1972 cult classic film, The Legend of Boggy Creek, documenting the terrors within the community of Fouke Arkansas caused by a Sasquatch commonly referred to as ‘The Fouke Monster” or “The Boggy Creek Monster” respectively. This film heavily featured the Crabtree family and their interactions with the elusive beast, which was portrayed during the production by Keith. Widely regarded as the film that brought the idea of the “Southern Bigfoot” to light, it showed people that it’s not just the forests of the Pacific Northwest they need to worry about. A larger-than-life personality, Keith is always a highlight of our time at the Uncertain Bigfoot Bash!
