One of those questions that we get asked a lot is “What’s going on in Uncertain?” so this is our answer. A page dedicated not only to events, but also just things to do in general when visiting the area. As events are announced they will be added or updated on this page as needed. Events are listed in order of their yearly schedule. Uncertain Mardi Gras Parade! Watch or be part, either way it’s a celebration! This parade is unique in the fact that is actually over land instead of by boat. Dress up your vehicle, side by side or even make a float. Don’t forget to bring some beads! Parade begins at The Caddo Lake Lighthouse and ends at Johnson’s Ranch Marina. (Will update when new date is available)

The Caddo Lake Paddling Flotilla! Hosted by the Cypress Basin Chapter of the Master Naturalist’ join in on the annual tradition of kayaking/ canoeing on breathtaking Caddo Lake. Put in is located at Shady Glade Resort RV Park & Marina. (Will update when date is set)
May

Battle for Jefferson! Come be a part of the three-day Civil War reenactment that takes place in Jefferson, Texas. For any history buffs this is a must do event when possible. Click here for more information.

2026 Caddo Lake Fun Run! What’s better than a mud boat? A bunch of mud boats going really fast! The races happen at Johnson’s Ranch Marina on June 19- 21 of 2026. Click here for more information.
July

The July 4th Parade! Come celebrate Americas birthday by watching the boat parade and fireworks show on July 4th located at Johnson’s Ranch Marina.

6th Annual Barry’s Swamp Nationals! We love our boats here on Caddo Lake, especially when they go fast. Be sure to make it out and catch the nationals September 18-20 of 2026. The races happen at the Uncertain Lodge and Inn be sure to grab a room in advance. Click here for more information.

Fire Ant Festival! The Fire Ant Festival returns every year on the second Saturday of October. Come join the excitement on Main Street. This long-standing festival features lots of entertainment throughout the day.

The Uncertain Bigfoot Bash Join us at Johnson’s Ranch Marina the second Saturday of October for a (Big)foot stomping good time. Click here for more information.

Texas Bigfoot Conference! Held annually in the Bigfoot capital of Texas, this is a chance to meet members of the cryptid community and listen to presentations from notable names in the field. Click here for more information.

Uncertain Halloween Parade! It’s creepy and it’s kooky, mysterious and spooky! Join in or watch the spine tingling Halloween parade as it makes its way from The Caddo Lake Lighthouse too Johnson’s Ranch Marina. (Will update when date is set)

Uncertain Halloween Monster Ball! Come on out for a night of frights and fun! Costume contests, music and more can be yours; if you face your fears! Located at the Uncertain Lodge and Inn. (Will update when date is set)

Uncertain Floating Christmas Parade! Unwrap those presents and get out to the lake and maybe you will catch a glimpse of Santa Claus drifting past! Located at Johnson’s Ranch Marina. (Will update when date is set)
