Uncertain, Texas Gets Ready for a Big Fourth of July Celebration

If you’re looking for a great way to celebrate Independence Day, make plans to spend July 4th in Uncertain, Texas. The community is coming together once again for its annual boat parade, and this year’s celebration is extra special as America marks its 250th birthday.

Organizers are inviting everyone to decorate their boats, gather their friends and family, and help make this year’s parade bigger than ever.

Boat registration will take place at the Cypress Village boat ramp beginning at 4:30 p.m., and the parade will launch at 5 p.m.. Captain Patrick Collins will lead the parade as decorated boats make their way through the beautiful waters of Uncertain and Caddo Lake.

Participants will also have a chance to compete for trophies and cash prizes. Judging will take place at Johnson’s Ranch, with $300 awarded for first place, $200 for second place, and $100 for third place.

This year’s trophies are being created by local artist Angie Hall, adding a hometown touch to the event.

The celebration won’t stop when the parade ends. Til Gillum will provide live music, and visitors can enjoy food from Y’all’s Place, along with a taco truck and snow cones available at Johnson’s Ranch. The evening will wrap up with a fireworks show after dark.

Last year’s parade was the biggest yet, but organizers hope to make this year’s event even more memorable as the nation celebrates 250 years of freedom.

Whether you plan to enter a boat or simply watch from the shoreline, everyone is invited to come out and enjoy an afternoon and evening of fun, music, food, fireworks, and plenty of patriotic spirit.
